Hexagonal steel is a kind of shape steel, and it is called hexagonal rod, and it is the rod materials which is regular hexagon in cross sectional area. The standard size S is based on the opposite side length.

Category of Hex Steel: The Hex steel can be composed to be various stress components by different structures, and it can also be the connection parts between the structure parts. It is widely appliedon various building structure and engineering structure, such as beam, bridge, power transmission tower, hoisting and conveying machinery, ship, industrial furnace, reaction tower, container holder and warehouse shelf etc.

The formula of weight of Hex steel: weight of Hex steel=0.0068*opposite diameter* opposite diameter* length.

1) length rule for Hex Steel is as follows:

A. common length: 2 to 6m;

B. Fixed length or multiple lengths will be confirmed in the contract. 

The delivery quantity of short sized steel which short than 1.5m will not over the 15% of the total order quantity of each batch. (10% stated in GB705-65)

2) It should not be any remarkable twist of Hex Steel.

3) The end should be cut straightly.

4) GB705-65: curve in per meter should not long than 8mm, and the total curve length should not be more than 0.6% of the total length.
